Nearly 2,900
participants, including 700 students, and 41 countries participated in the AIAA
Aviation and Aeronautics Forum and Exposition. Throughout the week, leaders
from industry, academia, and government discussed why they believe we’re at the
dawn of a new era of aviation where technology convergence is fueling
improvements in speed and efficiency, enabling new markets, and building the
infrastructure necessary to allow the ecosystem to expand. The technical
program contained over 1,600 technical presentations and 340 technical sessions.
A highlight of the forum was the first behind-the-scenes look at the design,
development, and testing of the world’s most advanced fighter aircraft, the
F-35 Lightning.
