LELAND M. NICOLAI’s aircraft design experience includes 23 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Colonel, and 32 years in industry. He is an AIAA Fellow and recipient of the AIAA Aircraft Design Award, AIAA Summerfield Book Award, the SAE Clarence L. Kelly Johnson Aerospace Vehicle Design and Development Award, The Engineers Council Clarence L. Kelly Johnson Skunk Works Award, and the Lockheed Martin Aero Star Award. He served as a Lockheed Martin Fellow at the Skunk Works and is the author of numerous publications, including Lessons Learned: A Guide to Improved Aircraft Design and Fundamentals of Aircraft and Airship Design, volumes 1 and 2.

William "KingPop" Floyd is taking the world by storm as the forerunner in pop culture art.  Not since Warhol has an artist been able to capture the spirits of pop culture icons on canvas in such bright, vivid colors.  His attention to detail, as well as his ability to project the raw essence of pop-culture through colors and lines, sets Floyd in an artistic class of his own.  Floyd attended the Art Institute of Atlanta and not only is a painter but a graphic designer, project manager, published author and philanthropist.  Stop by the HUB to see how Floyd's vision of aviation comes alive on canvas!

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations' (HSI), Counter-Proliferation Investigations (CPI) program prevents sensitive U.S. technologies and weapons from reaching transnational criminal organizations and foreign adversaries. The CPI program combats the trafficking and illegal export of the following commodities and services:

- Weapons of mass destruction and associated delivery systems; 
- Conventional military weaponry, equipment and technology; 
- Controlled dual-use commodities and technology; 
- Firearms and ammunition; 
- Financial and business transactions with sanctioned / embargoed countries and terrorist organizations.

    Project Shield America is an industry and academic outreach program, the intent of which is to obtain the assistance and cooperation of those companies involved in the manufacture and export of U.S.-origin strategic goods, technologies, and munitions items as well as academic researchers who study and research these and other strategic fields.  Project Shield America was established to increase public awareness of the importance of export controls and to seek the cooperation of the technology manufacturing and academic research communities.

    The F-35 cockpit is a revolution in controls and displays. It incorporates touch, voice, a large area display, and a helmet mounted display in lieu of a physical head up display. These features don’t seem that futuristic in 2018, but the initial design comes from Lockheed Martin’s cockpit research in 1996. This presentation shows how it came about!
