Things to Do

San Diego Air and Space Museum
One of the top five air and space museums in the United States.  As an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, this museum brings the history of aviation and space exploration to life through artifacts from the Wright Brothers, Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and other pioneers.  It houses tens of thousands of artifacts, and its world class research center has more than more than two million images of aircraft, aerospace personalities, events, equipment, and places of historical importance to aviation.

San Diego Hornblower Cruises & Events
Tour around the North and South Bay giving cruisers views of historic San Diego landmarks such as Cabrillo National Monument, Point Loma Lighthouse, Star of India and the Coronado Bridge. During the day-time Harbor Cruise and Sea Lion Adventure guests aboard the ship will learn about these San Diego attractions in addition to environmental efforts and conservation projects that protect San Diego’s marine life.

San Diego Zoo
This is the most visited zoo in the United States and has over 4000 animals of more than 650 species and subspecies on 100 acres of Balboa Park in the center of San Diego.  It was a pioneer in the concept of open-air, cageless exhibits that recreate natural animal habitats. Travelers have cited it as one of the best zoos in the world, with more than 4 million visitors in 2018.

Old Town San Diego State Historic Park
This is a California State Park which is located at the site of the first village established by Spanish explorers and Mexican ranchers.  It is the city’s oldest settled area and the site of the first European settlement in California.  Founded in 1769, it’s considered the birthplace of modern-day California and includes many well-preserved historic buildings and museums, all of which are free and open to the public.

Midway Museum
The USS Midway Museum is a historical naval aircraft carrier museum located in downtown San Diego, California at Navy Pier. The museum houses an extensive collection of aircraft, many of which were built in Southern California.

PETCO Park
There’s nothing quite like going to a ballgame, cheering for your favorite team, and munching on a hotdog and drinking your favorite beverage. In San Diego, that means rooting for the Padres and soaking in a visit to PETCO Park. Go see a Padres game at PETCO Park and enjoy the San Diego baseball experience at this great downtown stadium.
